Things to Know About Buttons

Buttons can be sooooo much

Buttons as giveaways

A small, nice giveaway that you receive at an event and that you keep at home because you like to remember this beautiful day...

Buttons can be individually designed and are relatively inexpensive to produce, especially in large quantities.
Nevertheless, a button can theoretically accompany us as a souvenir for a lifetime and, if stored properly, is virtually "everlasting". It can even be useful as a note holder on the fridge or as a bottle opener on a key chain and can bring back a nice memory every day.

Buttons as an expression of opinion

An opinion "made of metal" that we wear on our T-shirts, which expresses what we think, what we stand for and what connects us with others...

Anyone who wears an opinion button wants others to see and take note of it. Taking a stand, taking sides, supporting a good cause or showing a protest attitude, "not putting up with everything" - all of this can be clearly expressed with buttons.
A button on a T-shirt, jacket or cap automatically attracts attention and can therefore hardly be overlooked. The bigger, the better and the more noticeable, of course.

Buttons as a political symbol

A political symbol whose history and meaning can last for years and decades.

Since the beginning of time, buttons have been a popular tool for addressing political issues and shaking people up, convincing them, mobilizing them and making a change. The red sun with "Nuclear power - no thanks" is a popular example of such a political button. With a total of 20-30 million copies, this button became world famous and was translated into more than 40 languages. Since the nuclear power debate continues to this day, this button is virtually timeless and, despite its impressive age, still very topical.

Buttons as a sign of solidarity, connection & respect

Respect for other people, their works, their art, their areas of activity and their concerns - this can and should be shown, preferably with the appropriate buttons. Why not with one or even thousands of buttons for the general public? Especially in times of global unrest, in times of war, terror and millions of people fleeing from it, it is more important than ever to show solidarity. With people who do good, who are committed, who sacrifice their time and want to change something. Or with those who have experienced terrible things, who have lost everything and yet do not give up. A small piece of metal as a sign of solidarity, connection and respect can achieve great things. Even if it is "just" a bright smile in the dark.

Buttons as a souvenir

A valuable keepsake that we cherish and that helps us to always remember a beautiful, unforgettable day.

Maybe a bachelor party, a wedding, a festival or something similar. Buttons with their different backs are often used as gifts, for example as bottle openers, fridge magnets or small pieces of jewelry. And of course - the classic par excellence - also at bachelor parties, which tend to be bigger and more lavish. Here too, it is important to the participants to show their group to the outside world - what could be easier and cheaper than with a pin button?

Buttons as a gift

A gift that shows how much we are appreciated by a dear person who put a lot of effort into designing this gift, making it with love and whose eyes sparkled when we held this little piece of jewelry in our hands and were happy.

Thanks to the incredible number of possibilities offered by buttons in their various variations, there are hardly any limits to your imagination and creativity. Small, high-quality, individually designed pieces of jewelry are just as possible as bottle openers or refrigerator magnets as practical companions. It is not necessarily only necessary to use printed, painted or decorated paper inserts. Fabric buttons are also becoming increasingly popular and adorn one or two items of clothing or accessories.

Buttons as a musical statement

Buttons as a fashion accessory

a fashionable accessory, an eye-catcher with which we delight ourselves and others.

Buttons don't always have to express an opinion or convey a message. Thanks to the many great uses that have emerged over the years, buttons can also be used as a chic, fashionable accessory. Without any underlying intention, simply because they look nice and are fun.
For example, rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets as well as hair clips can be easily customized to suit your mood or matched with the right fabric to match your blazer or new shoes.
Children in particular, for example at parties or children's birthdays, will have a lot of fun designing their own hair clips or earrings.

Buttons as advertising media

a classic advertising medium that advertises our brand, our product or the "cause" we stand for in a relatively inexpensive way. This is probably by far the best-known use of buttons in their original form. For example, they can be used to advertise promotions (discounts, exchange campaigns, limited-time campaigns), new products or planned events. The button is still a popular and certainly relatively inexpensive means for the general public in this area. Buttons are certainly one of the absolute classic advertising media and have prevailed for decades. There is of course a reason for this

buttons as name tags

a name tag that brings us a little closer to the nice waitress in the cafe...

Buttons can give people a name. They have always been used for this purpose. Whether at a trade fair, at a customer event, at school or at a wedding. Buttons as name tags can take away some of the anonymity and thus contribute to easier communication between participants and guests. Alternative fastening options such as the crocodile clip or the clothing magnet are particularly suitable for this purpose. Who wants to pierce their beautiful silk blouse?

All this and many other things that people associate with buttons,

are the reason that buttons have been around for so long. People make buttons, collect buttons and distribute them in a variety of ways. And that's why we've been around for so long, because we provide everything you need: the button machine, button blanks, buttons as magnets, as bottle openers, as pocket mirrors, suitable circle cutters for cutting out the templates for buttons and now even buttons as ear studs and as bracelets. And the trend is rising...

We, Badgematic, sell products that you enjoy and look forward to. Whether it's a school or kindergarten that's buying a new button machine for an upcoming party or a band leader who's buying new button blanks to make buttons with the new band logo: the end product, finished buttons, however and however different they may look, is fun and puts a smile on people's faces.

And that's why we enjoy our work and will hopefully continue to do it for a long time. All you have to do is keep going - keep on making buttons!
