Paper, foil and upper part stuck in lower stamp 1

×

You have put the button top made of metal, paper and foil into the bottom stamp 1, turned the swivel plate and pulled the lever down for the first time - and now the whole thing is stuck in the bottom stamp 1. This is always a sign that there is somehow "too much" in the bottom stamp. Either two tops instead of 1, too much paper, too thick paper or too many foils. This actually happens more often than you think. It could also be that the metal button top was simply forgotten. Whatever the case, now you have to get the whole thing out again somehow. This is relatively easy: With the Flexi machine, you first take the bottom stamp out of the machine. Then you take it in both hands. You can "squeeze" it together by taking the edge in both hands. There is a spring at the bottom that you move. Squeeze it together. Then the top should fall out or at least be able to be removed. The spring is relatively strong, so you might want to ask someone who has a lot of strength in their hands for help.

On the button machine type 900, the stamps are firmly mounted and you can't just remove them. This makes the whole thing a bit more difficult. But the principle is the same: press the stamps down or together and take the parts out.

It is important that you do not start trying to remove the parts with a sharp object. This could damage the sensitive inner part of the lower stamp made of aluminum.
