Give your buttons a new look
Of course, you know our glossy polyester film, which you normally use to press your buttons at home. This protects your design and gives the button a smooth, glossy surface. With this adhesive film, you can give your buttons a completely different look: matte! Completely without shine, without mirror effects, simply matte. This gives your buttons a completely different effect, and colors come into their own. It's hard to describe; you just have to see and feel it. The tactile experience is also a real highlight. The buttons not only look super beautiful and classy, they also feel absolutely beautiful. We've already received so much positive feedback; we're absolutely sure you'll love them!
What's different?
Unlike "normal" glossy foil, the "Make it matte" foil isn't placed on the paper insert in the badge machine. Instead, it must be glued to the paper before you cut it.
Your button will have a velvety surface with a unique feel. No shine, no sparkle – just particularly deep, rich colors, calm, and presence. Your design will appear clearer, more minimalist – and therefore all the more special. Simply different from what you're used to. The edges of the buttons will also be particularly smooth and simply beautiful.

And this is how it's done:
Print your design on paper as usual. Remove our "Make it Matt" film from the backing film and carefully apply it. For a particularly beautiful result, we recommend applying the film with a squeegee, or at least using a squeegee after applying it to remove any air bubbles before cutting the paper and pressing the button. However, this is not absolutely necessary.
You can decide for yourself whether and how you want to trim the A4 sheets before applying them. We recommend cutting them into appropriate squares or rectangles so that you can only apply them over your button designs. Then cut out your design as usual. Our paper punches and flexi punches work very well for this. In a pinch, scissors will also do the trick. Now you can press your button as usual. The only difference is that you no longer need to place a polyester film on the paper insert. The paper insert is now already coated with the "Make it Matt" film.
Your button is now ready and can be seen and felt in a very special way.
compatibility
The foil can be used with all Badgematic button machines of the "Flexi" and "Type 900" series, as well as older models such as the "Type 1600" and "Type 1700." It only works with Badgematic button blanks in conjunction with one of our aforementioned button machines.
Please always use original Badgematic button blanks for your button machine to ensure your buttons always turn out perfectly. Please note these compatibility notes.
